MAISON 1835
where heritage meets the mauritian table
MAISON 1835
In the 1830s, Mauritius’s west coast entered a distinctive chapter with the construction of the island’s Martello towers. The five Mauritian towers were built between 1832 and 1835, including towers in the Black River area.
Maison 1835 takes its name from this historical period. “Maison” adds the warmth of a welcoming island home - a place where families, friends and travelers gather around the table.
